Scammer in Jamaa

Hey everyone. I’d like to report a scammer before I start this.

Everyone, I’d like you to report lovesanimal2018. They said “Anyone want to donate me that mean a lot to me”. I traded them a top-hat (none of the rare ones) and they said “thanks”. I went to my den and suddenly just thought of something. I looked at the past chat, and they had a locked den. I tried to JAG them “People give you rares. Why do you scam them?” and then it said that this jammer is not accepting any jamagram requests right now. I tried trading them, but it didn’t say “This jammer is in another world. Join them?”. They just accepted, but I declined.

Here is some proof:

Also, I recently thought about my hiatus, and that I’d make it start after today. I just wanted to inform you guys <3

I’ll be answering on comments, just not posting for a bit.

  1. I'm not sure if he scammed you or if he just has that stuff locked?

    1. He practically scammed me. I mean, he went around saying he was poor, and that we could donate him. After I donated him he dissapears and he is really rare.

  2. Hey Vai!

This isn't about this post (sorry!) but more of an apology and notice! So you know my tutorial blog? I didn't check on it for a while, so today I checked the request form and I saw your response from DECEMBER 17th!! I'm so so sorry for not checking it and getting to it sooner, but I just published a tutorial on it! Let me know if it helps, or if I need to go more in depth <3

    Super sorry!!,

  3. AAAA I don't mean to be rude or anything, but I think scams are more like when someone asks for free items and promises something in return (without using the trade system). Like, an example would be:

"Whoever donates me the rarest item gets a free spike!"

A scam always involves a promise that can easily be broken. With the person in this post, they just asked for free items and didn't promise anything else, so whoever chooses to donate knows 100% what they're in for. They didn't really say they didn't have rares, and they didn't really ask for rares-- maybe they just wanted extra items that people didn't want, so they could recycle them for gems.

Here's a fun fact... I think when I was new to AJ, I got put on a scam watch blog for something similar xD

That blog is deleted now, but I think I might have been confused about the trade system, or maybe that person just misunderstood, but I think I was in Jamaa calling out "send me a royal blanket!" and someone thought that was scamming so they put me on their blog. I was really sad about that at the time, haha..

Though it's still good to look out for scams. I think the AJSASS has a great list of scam types to watch out for, so maybe this could help: https://ajsass.blogspot.com/p/types-of-scams.html

    1. I agree... But it is still quite rude to go around begging for items when you still have more than many of the game's players.

    2. Yeah. I'd say this person was just being shady and trying to trick people.
