Hey my bear cubs!!!
No coyote today :( It doesnt let me for some reason. But you got some cute emojis instead! I tried my best to make it look good :)
Today's topic will be...
CLIMATE CHANGE - ANTARCTICA MELTING?!
Yup, you heard me - Antarctica will MELT.
I read that it will melt in 2100!! That's the baddest thing that could possibly happen to our Mother Earth.
But today I'll tell you a story - the story about dinosaurs.
HOW DINOSAURS VECAME EXTINCT
Dinosaurs became exctinct for over 100 million years. Dinosaurs were the dominant form of life on Earth. They were the LARGEST animal on the planet! The last dinosaurs died about 65-70 million years ago.
The reason of their extinction is STILL a scientific mystery.
There are various theories about why this extinction happened but none of them are actually PROVEN yet.
Let's hear some of them:
Asteroids: A recent explanation suggests that dinosaurs went extinct after a HUGEEEEE meteorite crashed to Earth near the Gulf of Mexico. A big meteorite could've landed with lots of debris and dust and blocked sunlight for a long period. Dinosaurs werent allergic to no sun at all, but due to this many deadly events started. Without the sun rays all the plants died. Without the plants all the plant eaters died, and without plant eaters all the carnivores died.
Earthquake: Large asteroid impacts on the earth could send seismic waves causing super volcanic eruptions that helped wipe out the dinosaurs and other creatures.
Volcanoes: Some of the research suggests heavy lava flow from the Deccan Traps in Western India may have spewed poisonous levels of carbon dioxide and sulfur into the atmosphere and cause the extinction.
Disease: Several paleontologists say dinosaurs really did suffer from diseases like parasites, hay, fever, certain allergic reactions and bone infections.
Mammals: Dinosaurs and mammals evolved during a similiar time period. Maybe mammals destroyed or ate the eggs of dinosaurs driving them to extinction!
Ice Age: Several paleontologists suggest an ice age could have frozen water and dinosaurs unable to survive. They slowly died out but scientists have no evidence of an ice age occuring.
VAi out!
YASS I heard about Antartica. Antartica is one of the most fascinating places on Earth (to me). It's Global Warming and that stuff. 40% of it has already melted, and it loses like 20% during the summer. It makes me mad because humans are responsible for this >:(
ReplyDeleteNooo coyote :(
I think I know who killed the coyote -_- HUMANS!!!
Yaaaas!! >:( Lol, dont worry just internet glitch :)
